Is December a good time to visit Costa Rica?
Decent holidays can make for a good traveler. The Costa Rica peak season starts today when the weather gets drier. Costa Rica also has two coasts, which means it has different weather conditions for both sides.

The majority of Costa Rica's soil is dry during the month, and San Jose has only 3 to 3 weeks of rain. The coast of the Caribbean is still in the waning months for rain. But there is no rain on this Caribbean coast! Expect some wet weather around the hours or 2 each day and also plenty of sun too.
Mornings generally have sunny days, while afternoons may have a few precipitations. The best news is that since it's rain season at Caribbean Coast it's incredibly lush and green. You can see several animals and flowers that appear during the rain depending on where you are on your trip.
