James J Hill House. James J. Hill was an American railroad king, and he founded the Great North Railroad. In 1891 he built his own house, his wife, and ten children and remained there until he died in 1916. Alexander Ramsay House. Alexander Ramsay was Minnesota's first Governor between 1815 and 1903. He served in office between 1849 and 1853. In 1872 Ramsay built his house at Irvine Park in Minneapolis. It still exists and is considered a very important Victorian residence for Americans.
